What is tripod turnstile

Tripod turnstile comes from foreign country. The earliest tripod turnstile is totally mechanical unit and then electrical units come out. With intelligent security developing, tripod turnstile becomes one of intelligent passage control equipment.

There are mechanical tripod turnstile and electrical turnstile.

Mechanical tripod turnstile configuration: Trisect cam, spring, buffer and two-way electric lock; Operation principle: Open one side of electric lock and push the arm to 60°to pass the highest point of cam by hand. Then the arm will power feed until it arrived 120°. The buffer will make the arm stop at 120°.     

Electric turnstile configuration: Motor powers the clutch and encoder detect the rolling degree; Operation principle: Push the arm lightly to make the encoder check the push direction is positive or negative. If right, motor will drive the arm to 120°.
